A NEET score between the qualifying percentile and roughly 300 marks does not end a medical career in India. Below the government-college range, admission runs through two channels: open-state private colleges via state DGME counselling, and deemed universities via centralised MCC counselling. What counts as a low NEET score?

Percentiles are fixed; the marks they correspond to are set each year by the difficulty of the paper and the size of the candidate pool. Below the qualifying percentile there is no admission route to MBBS in India at any fee.
Anything between the qualifying cutoff and about 300 marks falls in the low-to-moderate band. Below the qualifying percentile there is no admission route at all — no private college, deemed university or management quota can admit a candidate who has not qualified, and any agent who says otherwise is describing something illegal.

What the total actually costs
Advertised tuition is roughly half the real number. The course runs 4.5 years plus a one-year internship, so accommodation is paid for five years while tuition is paid for four and a half, and most colleges hold a refundable security deposit on top.
